The Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Guardians meet Wednesday in MLB action from Progressive Field. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Guardians vs Twins pick.

The Twins played a series versus the Reds over the weekend. Minnesota lost the first pair before a 9-2 Sunday win. After another loss 4-3 versus the Guardians in the opener, in game two the Twins powered out a 4-1 win. Zebby Matthews went 4.2 innings with one earned run in the start.

In the starter slot for the Twins on Wednesday will be Bailey Ober. So far this year Ober is 12-7 with a 3.90 ERA in 28 starts. Ober is 25-19 with a 3.72 ERA in 85 career starts.

Over on the Guardians’ side, in their last series, they took on the Tampa Bay Rays. Cleveland lost the first pair before two wins over the weekend. In Tuesday’s game, the Guardians gave up two runs in the eighth inning. Gavin Williams managed a solo homer as the only RBI.

Tanner Bibee will start for the Guardians on Wednesday. So far Bibee is 11-8 with a 3.60 ERA in 29 starts. Over 54 career starts, Bibee is 21-12 with a 3.31 ERA.

Cleveland Guardians vs Minnesota Twins Prediction

I’ll try the Twins in this one. Ober needs a bounce-back start, though. In his last outing, Ober took a loss to the Reds with 6.2 innings and five earned runs. In his two starts prior however, Ober gave up just one earned in 13.0 frames. As for Bibee, he’s 1-2 with six earned in 17.0 innings over his last trio.

On Tuesday the Twins got a great pitching effort across the board from Matthews and the bullpen. Five different arms combined for 4.1 innings, no earned, three hits, one walk, and four Ks. I like Minnesota to keep it rolling on Wednesday.
