The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Detroit Tigers meet Friday in MLB action from Comerica Park. Here’s a Detroit Tigers vs LA Dodgers Prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

The Dodgers are fresh off a series versus the Philadelphia Phillies. Los Angeles lost the first two installments of that set, then on Thursday Los Angeles took a 5-1 loss for the sweep. Landon Knack did most of the pitching with 4.1 innings and three earned runs.

In the starter role for the Friday opener, the Dodgers are sending out James Paxton. This year Paxton is 7-2 with a 4.24 ERA in 16 starts. Paxton is 71-40 with a 3.74 ERA in 172 career games.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Tigers’ side, they took on the Cleveland Guardians in their last set. Detroit lost 9-8 Tuesday but took two of the first three 1-0 and 5-4. On Thursday the Tigers cruised to a blowout victory. Jack Flaherty went 6.0 frames in the start with one earned on two hits and two walks.

As starter for Friday the Tigers will send out Tarik Skubal. This year Skubal is 10-3 with a 2.37 ERA in 18 starts. Skubal is 33-30 with a 3.53 ERA in 93 career games (90 starts).

Detroit Tigers vs LA Dodgers Prediction

I might try the Tigers in this one. Skubal is pitching well right now. In his last three starts he’s 2-0 with four combined earned runs on 10 hits and two walks in 20.0 total innings. Skubal should be good for a quality outing if he can keep it rolling, which will set Detroit up pretty well.

On Thursday the Tigers were great on both sides, notching 11 team hits with just one earned run between three pitchers. Riley Greene and Gio Urshela combined for five hits, six RBI and two runs in a great effort. I like the Tigers to keep it rolling Friday behind Skubal.
