Detroit Tigers vs LA Dodgers Prediction 7-13-24 Picks

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Detroit Tigers meet Saturday in MLB action from Comerica Park. Here’s a Detroit Tigers vs LA Dodgers Prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

In their last series the Dodgers took on the Philadelphia Phillies. Los Angeles didn’t have any luck in that one, notching a sweep with losses 10-1, 4-3 and 5-1. On Friday versus the Tigers, the Dodgers powered out a 4-3 win. Starter James Paxton lasted 3.2 innings with three earned on five hits and four walks.

In the starter role for Saturday the Dodgers will send out Justin Wrobleski. In his lone start this year (the first of his career) Wrobleski put up a loss with four Ks in 5.0 innings.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Detroit side, they played four games versus the Cleveland Guardians this week. The Tigers lost 9-8 on Tuesday but otherwise took victories 1-0, 5-4 and 10-1 in that set. On Friday the Tigers blew an early 3-0 lead and got out-hit 9-8. Tarik Skubal managed 6.0 innings in the start with two earned runs.

Keider Montero will take the mound for the start on Saturday. In the first four games (three starts) of his career this season Montero is 1-2 with a 4.64 ERA. He has 19 Ks in 21.1 innings total.

Detroit Tigers vs LA Dodgers Prediction

I’ll try the Tigers in this one. It’ll be interesting to see how the young starters do regardless, though. Montero has done well over his last two outings, with two earned in 12.2 innings on nine hits and two walks combined. As for Wrobleski, he gave up four earned in 5.0 innings during his loss.

On Friday the Tigers had a couple of rough bullpen performances and couldn’t do much on offense after the first couple of innings. Detroit has given up four or more runs in three of their last four games, so they’re going to have to rein it in Saturday.
