How are these two teams playing entering this evening’s National League game? The New York Mets arrive at the first game of this three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers playing good baseball. The Mets have won nine of the team’s last 12 games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers two days ago.
Similar to the New York Mets, the Colorado Rockies are playing well entering tonight’s MLB game. More specifically, the Rockies have won three of the team’s last four games played this season, including a 6-4 victory over the Miami Marlins earlier this week.
Now that we have identified how both teams are currently playing let’s turn our attention to this evening’s contest. Talented starting pitcher Kodai Senga has been a solid performer for the New York Mets this season. With that said, how has Senga pitched from a statistical standpoint? Let’s examine Senga’s game data to answer that question.
Through 11 starts made for the New York Mets this season, starting pitcher Kodai Senga has compiled a 6-3 (win-loss record) and a robust 1.60 ERA (Earned Run Average) which ranks first in MLB. It should also be noted that Senga has tallied a 1.18 (walks, hits, innings pitched) amassed 59 strikeouts while allowing 28 walks in 62.1 innings pitched in 2025.
Earlier this month, in the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks earlier this month, New York starting pitcher Kodai Senga certainly pitched at a high level. Senga pitched six quality innings striking out four Arizona batters while scattering two hits and allowing five walks in the Dodgers victory over the Diamondbacks.
