Kansas City Royals vs Seattle Mariners Prediction 6-7-24 Picks

The Seattle Mariners and the Kansas City Royals meet Friday in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium. Here’s a Kansas City Royals vs Seattle Mariners prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Seattle Mariners Betting Preview

The Mariners played the Oakland Athletics in their last series. Seattle eked out a 4-3 win in the opener of that set, then in game two the Mariners took a tough loss 2-1. On Wednesday in the finale, the Mariners powered out a shutout win 3-0. Starter Bryan Woo finished with 6.0 clean frames, two hits, no walks and six Ks.

As starter for Fridays’ opener the Mariners are sending out Bryce Miller. This year Miller is 5-5 with a 3.18 ERA and 71 Ks in 70.2 innings over 12 starts. Miller is 13-12 with a 3.92 ERA in 37 career starts.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

Over on the Royals’ side, they took on the Cleveland Guardians in their last set. Kansas City lost 8-5 in the opener of that series, and in game two the Royals had a rainout. That one will be made up in August. On Thursday in the finale the Royals eked out a 4-3 victory. Brady Singer gave up two earned on nine hits and a walk in 3.2 innings as starter.

In the starter slot for the Friday game Kansas City will go with Daniel Lynch. This year Lynch has a 1.50 ERA with eight Ks in 12.0 innings over three games (two starts). Lynch is 11-23 with a 5.01 career ERA in 54 games (53 starts).

Kansas City Royals vs Seattle Mariners Prediction

I might take a stab on the Royals here. Lynch doesn’t have a ton of work yet this year but he hasn’t been too bad overall. He’s got just two earned runs on seven hits and two walks in 12.0 combined innings. Lynch is coming off a no-decision versus the Twins on May 30 with 5.0 innings and both earned runs.

On Thursday the Royals had a pretty good overall effort from both sides. Kansas City managed 10 team hits and the bullpen performed well with 5.1 innings, five Ks, no hits, no earned and three walks. I like the Royals to carry some of that momentum into this series.
