Soriano has had his moments this season, and he’s been at his best on the road, but he’s coming off a horrible effort against the A’s, allowing 5 hits and 8 runs in 2.1 innings. Also, right when it looked like the Mariners were falling off the wagon, they’ve won 5 straight games and are currently holding onto a wild card spot. Miller is not a pitcher I’m thrilled to back with his 5.53 ERA and 1.40 WHIP, but this is about just backing the better, hotter team and hoping for the best.
