The Cincinnati Reds and the Miami Marlins meet Wednesday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Marlins vs Reds pick.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

Over the weekend the Reds took on the San Francisco Giants. Cincinnati won 6-4 on Saturday but otherwise dropped the remaining two games. After a 10-3 win over Miami in their opener, on Tuesday the Reds posted 13 team hits on the way to an 8-2 win. Starter Nick Lodolo put up 6.0 innings with two earned runs.

For the finale starter job the Reds will send out Andrew Abbott. This year Abbott is 9-8 with a 3.41 ERA in 22 starts. Abbott is 17-14 with a 3.63 ERA in 43 career starts.

Over on the Marlins’ side, they played the Atlanta Braves over the weekend. Miami managed to win two of those four games. On Tuesday the Marlins were only able to muster four hits in the loss. Max Meyer had a rough start on 4.0 innings and six earned from eight hits and three walks.

It’ll be Valente Bellozo in the starter slot for the Marlins on Wednesday. This season Bellozo is 0-1 with a 4.20 ERA in the first three starts of his career.

Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction

I’ll stay with the Reds. Probably not touching this one, though. Abbott hasn’t gone past 4.1 innings in either of his last two appearances, going 0-2 in that pair with six earned in 8.1 innings. As for Bellozo, he’s coming off two earned in 5.0 innings during a no-decision.

On Tuesday the Reds scored four runs in the fourth inning and never looked back. The bullpen was great with 3.0 innings, two hits, one walk, no earned and five strikeouts. If Cincinnati can get another good pitching performance across the board Wednesday they’ll be hard to topple.
