Miami Marlins vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction 9-22-23 MLB Picks

The Milwaukee Brewers and the Miami Marlins meet in MLB action from LoanDepot Park on Friday.

Brewers Win Series Vs. Cardinals

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this series fresh off of their win over the St. Louis Cardinals by a final score of 6-0. The win brought the Brewers to 87-66 on the year, 7.5 games up on the Cubs for the NL Central lead. Christian Yelich has 143 hits, in addition to 70 RBIs and a .272 batting average as well as a .363 OBP while Willy Adames comes in with a team-leading 24 home runs and 78 RBIs. William Contreras leads the Brewers with 144 hits and 36 doubles while Adames has the unfortunate distinction of leading the Brewers with 156 strikeouts this season. Corbin Burnes will start for the Brewers here and is 9-8 with a 3.56 ERA and 190 strikeouts this season.

Marlins Lose Series Vs. Mets

The Miami Marlins had a golden chance for some wins in the NL Wild Card race, but ended up losing their three-game set against New York, including an 8-3 loss in Wednesday’s series finale. Jorge Soler leads the Marlins with 36 home runs along with 73 RBIs while Bryan De La Cruz has 74 RBIs to lead Miami this season. Luis Arraez also has 201 hits, 30 doubles and a .354 batting average while De La Cruz has a team-high 31 doubles as well. The Marlins did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Chris’ Pick

I’m sticking with the Brewers here. Corbin Burnes has pitched his better baseball on the road to begin with, but it just feels like right now, the Brewers are simply playing the better baseball. Miami needs these wins as well to stick around in the NL Wild Card hunt, but I just think the Brewers come out and get the win to start the series behind a strong start from Burnes. Give me Milwaukee here.
