In the starter gig for the Monday finale the Mets will send out David Peterson. This year Peterson is 4-0 with a 3.09 ERA in eight starts. He’s 22-21 with a 4.35 career ERA in 88 games (72 starts).

Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction

I’ll stay with the Mets I suppose. Peterson is doing well right now. He’s got four earned runs over his last three starts in 16.2 total innings. As for Chirinos, he’s coming off eight earned in 5.2 frames in a loss to the Reds.

On Sunday the Mets really only had one bad inning on the mound but it was enough to create an insurmountable deficit. New York really couldn’t get much going on eight team hits either. I like the Mets to bounce back and even things up but I’m probably not touching it.
