Minnesota Twins vs Boston Red Sox Prediction 6-20-23 MLB Picks

The Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins meet Tuesday in MLB action from Target Field. This will be the second installment in a four-game set this week. In the Monday opener, the Red Sox took a dominant win. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox played the Yankees this past weekend, winning all three games for a sweep. On Monday versus the Twins, Boston bagged 10 team hits in a 9-3 win. Starter James Paxton lasted 6.1 frames with three earned on three hits and a walk.

For the starter job in the Tuesday matchup it’ll be Kutter Crawford. This year over 13 games (five starts) Crawford is 1-3 with a 4.20 ERA and 41 Ks in 40.2 innings. Crawford is 4-10 with a 5.33 ERA in 35 career games (18 starts).

Minnesota Twins

Over on the Minnesota side, they lost two of three games from the Tigers over the weekend. On Monday the Twins had the game briefly tied 3-3 but didn’t score after that. Pablo Lopez went 5.2 innings in the start with four earned, six hits and three walks.

It’ll be Bailey Ober in the start for the Tuesday matchup. Ober is 4-3 with a 2.65 ERA in 10 starts this year. He has 54 Ks in 57.2 innings total. Ober is 9-9 with a 3.50 ERA in 41 career starts.

The Sox are 9-4 in their last 13 versus the AL Central and 1-5 in their last six in game two of a series. The over is 34-16-2 in Boston’s last 52 Tuesday games.

Meanwhile, the Twins are 2-5 in their last seven Tuesday games and 2-5 in their last seven versus the AL East. The under is 7-3 in Minnesota’s last 10 in game two of a series.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll stay with the Sox in this one. Crawford could use a good outing here, though. In his last three games Crawford is 0-1 with a combined seven earned runs over 10.0 innings on 13 hits and three walks. On Monday Boston came alive in the sixth inning and really only had the one bad frame on defense. I think the Red Sox keep things rolling in game two if all goes well with Crawford.
