Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

This week the White Sox played the Kansas City Royals. Chicago continued their losing streak in that series, falling 8-5, 4-3 and 10-3 for another sweep. On Friday versus the Twins, the White Sox were out-hit 9-3 in a 10-2 loss. Starter Davis Martin gave up four earned in 3.2 innings.

It’ll be Garrett Crochet in the starter role for the White Sox on Saturday. This year Crochet is 6-8 with a 3.23 ERA in 22 starts. Over his 94 career games (22 starts) Crochet is 9-15 with a 3.03 ERA.

Over on the Twins’ side, in their last series they played the New York Mets. Minnesota lost the first two games 15-2 and 2-0 before staving off the sweep on an 8-3 win in the finale. On Friday the Twins scored twice in the first inning and never trailed. Joe Ryan managed 6.1 innings in the start with two earned runs.

Bailey Ober will take the mound for the start on Saturday. Across his 20 starts this year Ober is 10-5 with a 3.76 ERA. In 77 career starts Ober is 23-17 with a 3.66 ERA.

Minnesota Twins vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

I’ll stay with the Twins I suppose. Ober has done pretty well over his last three starts. In that trio he’s 2-1 with five earned runs in 21.0 innings combined. As for Crochet, he’s got five earned runs over 7.0 innings in a pair of losses during his last two outings.

On Friday the Twins really broke the game open in the eighth, notching six runs in that frame alone. The pitching staff was also great; the pen provided 2.2 innings with no hits, no walks and four Ks. I like the Twins to keep it rolling Saturday.
