The Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins meet Tuesday in MLB action from Target Field. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals prediction. This will be the second installment in a four-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

The Royals played the Tampa Bay Rays in their weekend series. Kansas City did well in the first pair with wins 8-1 and 7-4. In the Sunday finale the Royals took a 4-1 loss. On Monday in their opener versus the Twins, KC took a tough 6-5 loss. Starter Alex Marsh put up 7.0 innings with five earned on five hits and two walks.

In the starting pitcher slot for Tuesday it’ll be Cole Ragans. This year Ragans is 4-3 with a 3.34 ERA in 11 starts. Ragans has 76 Ks in 62.0 innings total. He’s 11-11 with a 3.73 in 49 career games (32 starts).

In the Monday matchup Minnesota was out-hit 10-7 on the way to the victory. Joe Ryan put up 7.0 innings in the start with one earned on four hits.

Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

I’ll stay with the Twins. Richardson gave up five earned runs on eight hits and a walk during a no-decision back on May 11 in Toronto. In his two starts since then however (both on the road), Richardson has given up just one earned on seven hits and a walk in 10.0 total innings. He didn’t get a decision in either of those.

On Monday the Twins got a key homer from Trevor Larnach (three RBI) in the fifth inning. Really there was only one bad inning on the mound—four runs in the top of the ninth. Otherwise it was a nice well-rounded effort. I like Minnesota to keep it rolling in game two.
