The Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins meet Monday in MLB action from Target Field. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Twins vs Royals pick.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

Kansas City played a pair of games versus the St. Louis Cardinals this past weekend. The Royals lost 8-5 in the opener but evened things up with an 8-3 win in the Saturday matchup. Starter Michael Wacha put up 7.0 innings with two earned runs in that one.

Brady Singer will start for the Royals in Monday’s matchup. This year Singer is 8-7 with a 3.03 ERA in 23 starts. Singer is 35-38 with a 4.19 ERA in 118 career games (115 starts).

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over on the Twins’ side, they just finished up against the Cleveland Guardians. Minnesota won the first pair of installments in that series before a 2-1 loss in game three. In the finale Sunday, the Twins gave up four runs in the sixth inning and eventually lost 5-3.

As starter for Monday’s game the Twins will go with Pablo Lopez. Over 23 starts this year Lopez is 10-8 with a 4.74 ERA. In his career Lopez is 49-47 with a 4.00 ERA in 149 starts.

Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

I’ll stick with the Royals. Singer will need a better start than he got last time, though. On August 5 versus the Red Sox, Singer put up a loss with four earned on 10 hits and a walk in 5.2 innings. He had three earned in 14.0 prior innings though, going 2-0 in that pair.

In their weekend series the Royals did pretty well offensively with 13 runs in two games. That makes five or more runs in five straight games for KC, but they’ve won just two of those. The pitching needs to get better or this is going to be another long series.
