The Los Angeles Angels and the Minnesota Twins meet in MLB action from Target Field on Friday night.

The Los Angeles Angels will look to bounce back from a 5-3 loss at the hands of the Texas Rangers in Thursday’s matchup. Mike Trout has 108 hits, 21 doubles, 73 RBIs and 36 home runs while Jared Walsh has 44 RBIs and Shohei Ohtani has 145 hits while adding 28 doubles, 34 home runs and 89 RBIs. Taylor Ward also has a .272 batting average as well this season. Ohtani will start here and is 13-8 with a 2.43 ERA and 196 strikeouts this season.

The Minnesota Twins will hope to bounce back after being swept by Kansas City following a 4-1 loss to the Royals last time out. Luis Arraez has 161 hits including a team-high 29 doubles while also posting a .313 batting average. Byron Buxton also has 76 hits with a team-high 28 home runs and 51 RBIs and Gary Sanchez has 22 doubles this season. Jorge Polanco has 88 hits and 56 RBIs and Max Kepler has 43 RBIs as well on the year, while Carlos Correa’s also added 139 hits. The Twins did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

Los Angeles is 1-6 in their last 7 road games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 road games. Los Angeles is 1-7 in their last 8 road games and 8-4 in their last 12 home games while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 games overall.

I get why you could look Minnesota’s way here as the Twins can’t afford another loss if they’re going to pull off a miracle and make the playoffs. However, the Angels have still been hitting better as of late than they have in the last couple of months, and Ohtani is, more often than not, the Angels’ best shot at a win on the hill. The Twins are done in my eyes and I see no other option than to back the Angels in this one.
