The American League and National League meet Tuesday in MLB All Star Game action at the Truist Park. Here’s a National League vs American League Prediction. This article will include a National League vs American League Pick.
American League Betting Preview
For the first time in a while, the American League is fairly young, so there should be some hunger to this team. A lot of guys eager to prove themselves as the next faces of the sport. Cal Raleigh, Jacob Wilson, and Ryan O’Hearn are making their first all-star appearance in the starting lineup. Many of the pitchers are here for the first time as well, including Kris Bubic, Hunter Brown, Casey Mize, and Joe Ryan.
For reserves, there’s only two hitters who are making their third all-star trip or more. Jose Ramirez and Aaron Judge are the veterans of the AL squad, but there are a lot of fresh faces on this team. It’s just an exhibition, but a team full of young guys should create some excitement and an edge. Tarik Skubal will start the game for the American League, and the team is coached by Aaron Boone.
National League Betting Preview
The NL is the experienced team of the two, as only Pete Crow-Armstrong is a first-time all-star in the starting lineup. There are a lot of familiar faces such as Manny Machado, Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuna Jr., and Shohei Ohtani. The pitching staff includes Logan Webb, Paul Skenes, Edwin Diaz, Zach Wheeler, and Chris Sale.
There are three Braves on this NL roster, which plays to the crowd. The National League was taken behind the woodshed for years by the American League, but this roster is showing that they’re catching up. Skenes will start the game for the National League, and the team is coached by Dave Roberts.
National League vs American League Prediction
Usually I lean toward the team that’s giving out plus money in these meaningless all-star games, as these are exhibitions that can go either way. However, this game is in a NL venue, and the National League is probably the more talented team with more experience. That’s typically not the case.
The NL has won once since 2013. So, while the game doesn’t mean much overall, this is a spot for the NL to finally win a game, and I’m sure guys are aware of the one-sided history. There has to be some sort of pride. We’re also getting pick em lines pretty much. Give me the NL to win Tuesday’s MLB scrimmage.
