Tigers vs Mets prediction

Game 1 prediction: You can make a case for the Tigers given the way they’re pitching and the way the Mets aren’t hitting. I wouldn’t talk you off the ledge. With that said, it’s only a matter of time before this Mets offense gets rolling. Also, Mize hasn’t pitched in a MLB game since April 2022 as he’s been recovering from Tommy John surgery. Who knows how Mize is going to look out there. Maybe the day off helps the Mets get on track? Either way, I’m siding with the Mets due to the unknown surrounding Mize.

Game 2 prediction: I’m not sure if we can trust the Mets to win twice in a day when they have yet to win a game this season. Butto still has to prove himself a bit, given he has just 8 MLB starts and hasn’t been great in the short sample size. Manning has been sharp over the last two seasons, and that includes a 3.58 ERA and 1.04 WHIP last season. Give me the Tigers.
