NY Mets vs Minnesota Twins Prediction 7-30-24 Picks

The Minnesota Twins and the New York Mets meet Tuesday in MLB action from Citi Field. Here’s a NY Mets vs Minnesota Twins Prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over the weekend the Twins played the Detroit Tigers. Minnesota lost Saturday but otherwise won the remaining pair 9-3 and 5-0. In the Monday opener versus the Mets, the Twins gave up six runs in the fourth during a 15-2 loss. Simeon Woods Richardson put up 3.1 innings with six earned in the start.

In the starter role for the Twins on Tuesday it’ll be David Festa. This year Festa is 1-1 with an 8.16 ERA in the first three games (two starts) of his career.

New York Mets Betting Preview

Over on the Mets’ side, they played the Atlanta Braves in their weekend series. New York won the first pair of outings before falling in games three and four. On Monday the Mets had 17 team hits in the big victory. Jose Quintana posted 6.0 innings with one earned run in the start.

It’ll be Sean Manaea in the starter role for the Mets on Tuesday. This year Manaea is 6-4 with a 3.74 ERA in 20 starts. Manaea is 71-60 with a 4.07 ERA in 216 career games (186 starts).

NY Mets vs Minnesota Twins Prediction

I’ll probably stay with the Mets. This one’s going to depend on the starters, though. Festa is coming off one earned in 4.1 innings versus Philly, but he had 12 earned over 10.0 innings prior to that. As for Manaea, he’s given up 10 earned over his last 16.2 innings of work in three starts.

On Monday the Mets had a great evening on both sides. Everybody in the lineup had at least one hit, and eight different players had at least one RBI. New York probably won’t reach those heights in game two but I think they can keep it going with another W.
