NY Yankees vs Minnesota Twins Prediction 6-4-24 Picks

The Minnesota Twins and the New York Yankees meet Tuesday in MLB action from Yankee Stadium. Here’s a NY Yankees vs Minnesota Twins Prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

The Twins just finished up a weekend series versus the Houston Astros. Minnesota took a 6-1 win in the opener of that set, then lost 5-2 in the Saturday game. On Sunday in the rubber match the Twins took the series victory with a 4-3 win. Starting pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson finished with 4.1 innings and three earned in that one.

For the Tuesday matchup the Twins will send out Bailey Ober in the starting role. In his 11 starts this year Ober is 5-3 with a 4.89 ERA and 58 Ks in 57.0 innings. Ober is 18-15 with a 3.84 ERA in 68 career starts.

New York Yankees Betting Preview

Over on the Yankees’ side, they played the San Francisco Giants in their last series. New York did well in that one, bagging three straight wins 6-2, 7-3 and 7-5 for a sweep. In the Sunday finale the Yankees scored four runs in the ninth inning. Juan Soto finished with three hits, three runs, three RBI and two homers.

It’ll be Luis Gil in the starting pitcher role for the Yankees on Tuesday. This year Gil is 7-1 with a 1.99 ERA and 79 Ks in 63.1 innings over 11 starts. Gil is 8-2 with a 2.61 ERA in 18 career starts.

Twins vs Yankees Injury Notes

Twins 3B Royce Lewis (quadricep) is expected to be activated from the 10-day Injured List ahead of Tuesday’s game.

Yankees SP Gerrit Cole (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Somerset. 3B Jon Berti (calf) isn’t expected back for six to eight more weeks.

NY Yankees vs Minnesota Twins Prediction

I’ll stick with the Yankees. Gil should be able to post another good start here. Over his last three outings Gil is 3-0 with just two earned runs in 20.1 innings total on eight hits and five walks. As for Ober, he’s got two rough starts and one good outing in his last trio. Ober put up two earned in 5.0 innings versus the Rangers, but combined versus the Royals and Guardians Ober notched 11 earned in 9.0 combined innings during a pair of losses.

New York’s bats were working well in the Giants series. The Yankees posted 20 runs over three games, which gives them six or more runs in four straight outings. I like New York to keep it going as they return home Tuesday.
