NY Yankees vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction

I might try the Pirates here. Skenes should be able to start things off well at least. In his last three starts combined Skenes is 2-1 with just two earned runs in 17.0 total innings. As for Gil, he’s coming off four earned in 5.1 innings versus Oakland (still a win) but had just two in 10.0 innings prior to that.

On Friday the Pirates made the most of their six hits—four of which came from Nick Gonzales and Bryan Reynolds, who had three homers between them. Pittsburgh should get a good start from Skenes, so a few good swings could make the difference once again in game two.
