Athletics vs Cardinals Prediction

Oakland comes into this matchup playing very well over their last seven games and they will look for another series win here. St. Louis has the same record as Oakland, but they haven’t been able to string wins together recently. The Athletics still struggle to score runs, but their pitching has been very strong. Oakland is starting Ross Stripling, who has allowed 11 earned runs and 26 hits over 18.0 innings in his first three starts. St. Louis is going with Sonny Gray, who threw 5.0 shutout innings against the Phillies in his first start. I really like how Oakland has pitched this season, but Stripling was lit up in his last start and I don’t have enough confidence in the Oakland offense. Take the Cardinals here.
