The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies meet Sunday in MLB action from Citizens Bank Park. This will be the final installment in a three-game weekend series. Here’s a Phillies vs Dodgers prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Phillies vs Dodgers pick.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

The Dodgers managed a couple of wins over the Chicago Cubs in Japan earlier this month, but really got started with a sweep over the Tigers last weekend. Those victories came 5-4, 8-5 and 7-3. Los Angeles kept it going with another sweep in their next series, this time versus the Atlanta Braves 6-1, 3-1 and 6-5. LA’s run came to an end on Friday in the opener versus the Phillies though, in a 3-2 defeat. The Dodgers got two RBI and a homer from Tommy Edman, while Mookie Betts put up a walk and a run. Yoshinobu Yamamoto did well in his start with 6.0 clean frames, three hits, three walks and five Ks, though.

In game two versus the Phillies on Saturday, the Dodgers scored twice in the second inning on the way to a 3-1 win. Michael Conforto and Enrique Hernandez bagged all three RBI via homers. Roki Sasaki put up 4.0 innings in the start with one earned on three hits and two walks alongside four strikeouts.

As starter for Sunday’s finale, LA will send out Tyler Glasnow. So far this year Glasnow has one start under his belt, notching a win with 5.0 clean innings. During his career Glasnow is 40-33 with a 3.78 ERA in 150 games (111 starts) total.

Philadelphia Phillies Betting Preview

Over on the Phillies’ side, they managed to win their first two games of the season over the Washington Nationals 7-3 and 11-6, then fell in the finale 5-1. Philadelphia got back on the horse in the next series though, taking a sweep over the Colorado Rockies 6-1, 5-1 and 3-1 ahead of their one-run win versus the Dodgers. In that Friday victory, Philadelphia got one RBI each from Bryson Stott and Brandon Marsh, while Nick Castellanos added two hits with a run. Starter Jesus Luzardo was great with 7.0 clean innings, two hits, two walks and eight Ks.

On Saturday, the Phillies were out-hit 7-4 in the defeat. Alec Bohm went 0-for-4 but had the only RBI. Aaron Nola went 6.0 frames in the start, giving up three earned on seven hits and a walk with two strikeouts.

It’ll be Christopher Sanchez in the starting pitcher slot for the Phillies on Sunday. In his lone start this year Sanchez posted a no-decision with 5.1 innings and one earned run. Over 73 games (54 starts) in his MLB career Sanchez is 17-16 with a 3.66 ERA.

Phillies vs Dodgers Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Phillies here. Sanchez notched a solid outing in his debut on March 31 versus the Rockies, posting 5.1 innings, one earned run, four hits and two walks in a no-decision. A quality start here would go a long way toward another Phillies win. As for Glasnow, he did well in his 2025 debut as well with 5.0 innings, no earned, two hits, three walks and eight Ks during a win over the Braves on March 31. This should be a pretty good pitching matchup if both guys are on point.

The Phillies had a decent pitching performance across the board. The bullpen was tight on 3.0 innings, no hits, no earned, one walk and one strikeout between two arms. Trouble is, Philly just couldn’t find any offense. LA got 5.0 innings, no earned, no walks, one hit and four strikeouts out of their bullpen. The Phillies really need to get the bats warmed up in this finale or they’ll be facing another loss.
