Los Angeles Angels Recap

The Los Angeles Angels come into this one looking to bounce back from a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Pirates in Monday’s series opener. It wasn’t the ideal start to the series for an Angels team that’s still yet to win a series since the first week of April after losses to the Guardians, Phillies, and Twins in the last week and a half.

Angels Continue To Slide At The Plate

Going into Tuesday, Taylor Ward leads the Angels with 38 hits along with 7 home runs and a team-high 24 RBIs. Mike Trout has a team-high 10 home runs along with a pair of triples and 6 stolen bases while Zach Neto has a team-high 36 strikeouts and 5 stolen bases. Luis Rengifo also has a team-high 9 stolen bases as well.

Why the Pittsburgh Pirates will win

Pittsburgh Pirates vs LA Angels Prediction

I’m on the Pirates here. I just don’t trust Patrick Sandoval and as bad as the Pirates offense has been, Sandoval has this inane ability to make any team that goes up against him look like a world-beater. I think that’s what could go down here as well. I’m not a huge Quinn Priester fan if we’re being honest, but right now it certainly beats the alternative, and the Angels’ bats are not hitting well enough right now to counteract any damage that Sandoval does on the hill. Give me the Pirates at home in this one.
