The Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers meet Wednesday in MLB action from Globe Life Field. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Rangers vs Angels Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Los Angeles Angels will send out Jose Soriano for the start here, and Soriano is 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA and 18 strikeouts this season. This will be Soriano’s second career start against the Rangers. Patrick Corbin will get the start for the Rangers and is 0-0 with a 6.75 ERA this season. In his career, Corbin is 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA and 13 strikeouts against the Angels.

Los Angeles Angels Recap

The Los Angeles Angels come into this game looking to bounce back after starting the series with a 4-0 loss in Tuesday’s series opener to fall to 9-7 on the year. After this series, the Angels will head home for an interleague series with the San Francisco Giants.

Logan O’Hoppe has 15 hits, including 5 home runs and 9 RBIs, while Nolan Schanuel has 17 hits with 3 doubles, a triple, 2 home runs, and 7 RBIs. Luis Rengifo has a team-high 5 doubles with his 14 hits, and Taylor Ward also has 16 hits as well, while Mike Trout’s added 6 home runs and 14 RBIs so far this season. Jorge Soler also has 4 home runs, but also has the unfortunate distinction of leading the Angels with 21 strikeouts so far this season. Kyren Paris has also chipped in 15 hits with a triple, 5 home runs, and 8 RBIs.

Rangers vs Angels Prediction

I’m on the Angels in this one. The Rangers have been strong at home to start the year, but Jose Soriano’s best work this season so far has been on the road. The Rangers are willingly sending Patrick Corbin out to the mound for a start here. That’s a big problem. Corbin has a tendency to make any team, good or bad, look like all-stars with how bad he’s been in past seasons, and I don’t see it being any different here. Give me the Angels in this one.
