In this article we will formulate a Royals vs Orioles prediction for this MLB game on Sunday, April 6th at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

The Kansas City Royals are 3-5 this year after they lost game two by a score of 8-1 on Saturday, but they did win game one by a score of 8-2 on Friday. In that game two loss, the Royals fell behind in the second inning and they never made it a game, but did score in the sixth inning to avoid the shutout. The Royals recorded five hits in the game and they were led by Witt Jr., who went 1-4 with one home run and one RBI in the loss. Kansas City started Wacha, who allowed six hits and four earned runs over 5.2 innings, while Long and Stratton also allowed two earned runs a piece in relief.

Prior to this series, the Royals lost two out of three against the Brewers and two out of three against the Guardians. The Kansas City pitching staff has a 3.68 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP and a .243 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 32 runs with a .219 batting average and a .293 on base percentage this season. Vinnie Pasquantino has led Kansas City with one home run and seven RBIs, while Maikel Garcia has added two home runs and six RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Kansas City is Kris Bubic, who is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP over 6.0 innings pitched this season.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Baltimore Orioles are 4-5 this season after they won game two in this series by a score of 8-1. Baltimore led 2-0 early in the game and they added four in the sixth inning to put the game away. The Orioles recorded 12 hits in the game and they were led by O’Neill, Sanchez, and Holliday, who all had two RBIs in the win. Baltimore started Sugano, who allowed five hits and one earned run over 5.1 innings, while Baker, Akin, and Bowman combined for 3.2 shutout innings out of the bullpen.

Prior to this series, the Orioles lost two out of three against the Red Sox and split four games with the Blue Jays. The Baltimore pitching staff has a 4.73 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP and a .259 opponent batting average, while their offense has scored 46 runs with a .274 batting average and a .337 on base percentage this season. Cedric Mullins has led Baltimore with three home runs and 11 RBIs, while Tyler O’Neill has added one home run and seven RBIs this year. Royals vs Orioles Prediction

These two teams have both won one game in blowout fashion so far in this series and each side will look for the series win here. Kansas City has lost three of their last four games and they have scored a total of three runs in those three losses. Baltimore has also lost three of their last four games and they have allowed eight runs in two of those games. The Royals got a very good first outing from Bubic, while Povich allowed five hits and three earned runs in 4.1 innings against Boston last time out. Povich has been way too inconsistent for my liking, so I will take the Royals at home here.
