ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’m staying with the Padres. The line’s too thick to mess with, though. Snell is on a nice run these days. He’s got just the one earned run in his last three starts combined on 16.0 innings, nine hits and 13 walks. The free passes got a bit high in his last start (seven) but Snell should be good for a quality outing here. On Monday the Padres had a pretty rough offensive outing. That makes four or more runs in three of the last four games however, so San Diego seems primed for an offensive comeback. I like San Diego to even up the series in game two.
