Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles played the Guardians this week, losing two of three games. On Friday versus the Giants, Baltimore had just four hits but managed a 3-2 victory. Dean Kremer put up 6.0 innings in the start with two earned on five hits and two walks.

For the starter job on Saturday it’ll be Kyle Bradish. In his nine starts so far Bradish is 2-1 with a 3.89 ERA and 36 Ks in 44.0 innings, Bradish is 6-8 with a 4.62 ERA in 32 career starts.

San Francisco Giants

Over on the Giants’ side, they lost two of three to the Pirates this week. In the Friday matchup San Francisco couldn’t score after the third inning. Starter Logan Webb managed 7.0 innings, three earned, four hits and a walk.

Anthony DeSclafani will take the mound for the Giants on Saturday. In his 11 starts this year DeSclafani is 4-4 with a 3.48 ERA and 49 Ks in 67.1 innings. He’s 54-52 with a 4.07 ERA in 172 career games (162 starts).

The O’s are 6-1 in their last seven in game two of a series and 4-10 in their last 14 Saturday games. Baltimore is 3-9 in their last 12 versus the NL West.

Meanwhile, the Giants are 11-5 in their last 16 overall and the under is 11-2 in their last 13 in game two of a series. The over is 7-3 in San Francisco’s last 10 Saturday games.

I’ll stick with the Orioles here. Bradish was sketchy against the Yankees back on May 23 (5.0 innings; four earned) but in the other two of his last three starts he’s been better. Bradish has 6.2 innings with one earned in each of those starts. As for DeSclafani, he’s got nine earned combined over his last 17.1 innings. On Friday Baltimore had a rough night at the plate but did just enough on the scoreboard to power out a win. The O’s are going to need some more offense in this one.
