San Francisco Giants vs Kansas City Royals 6/14/22 MLB Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Kansas City Royals and the San Francisco Giants meet Tuesday in MLB action from Oracle Park. This will be the second installment in a three-game series this week. On Monday in the opener, the Giants powered out a four-run victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Kansas City played the Orioles over the weekend. The Royals were able to split a four-game series. On Monday against San Francisco, Kansas City had an early lead but couldn’t hang on in a 6-2 defeat. Brady Singer lasted 5.0 innings in the start with two earned on two hits and five walks.

For the starting role on Tuesday, the Royals will send out Kris Bubic. In eight games (seven starts) this year Bubic is 0-3 with a 9.13 ERA. In 22.2 innings he’s got 30 hits, 23 earned, 16 walks and 18 Ks.

Over on the Giants’ side, they did well against the Dodgers over the weekend with a three-game sweep. On Monday, San Francisco had five hits in the victory. Starter Alex Wood put up 6.0 innings with two earned on four hits and a walk.

Logan Webb will take the mound for the Giants on Tuesday for game two. This year in 12 starts Webb is 5-2 with a 3.77 ERA. Over 71.2 frames Webb has 68 hits, 30 earned, 17 walks and 59 Ks.

The Royals are 18-39 in their last 57 overall and 9-25 in their last 34 versus a right-handed starter. KC is 2-7 in their last nine in game two of a series.

Meanwhile, the Giants are 4-0 in their last four in game two of a series and 12-4 in their last 16 interleague home games. The over is 12-3-1 in San Fran’s last 16 Tuesday games.

PICK: I’m probably sticking with the Giants here. Webb had something of a sketchy outing versus the Marlins recently with 4.2 innings and four earned on four hits and two walks. He bounced back well in his last outing despite a loss though, with 5.2 innings, two earned, seven hits and a walk. Bubic is in something of the same boat; he gave up four earned in 4.1 innings his last time up but had 5.0 clean frames versus the Astros in the start before that. Should be a fun pitching matchup regardless.
