The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants meet in an NL West division matchup in MLB action in this week’s installment of Sunday Night Baseball from Oracle Park.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to complete the sweep after their 7-2 win over the Dodgers from Saturday. Freddie Freeman has 185 hits with a .331 batting average while Justin Turner has 80 RBIs and 35 doubles. Trea Turner also has 178 hits with 37 doubles, a .305 batting average and a team-high 97 RBIs. Freeman also has 45 doubles to lead the Dodgers while Mookie Betts has 140 hits, 34 home runs, 77 RBIs and a .273 batting average. Andrew Heaney will start here and is 3-2 with a 2.84 ERA and 84 strikeouts this season.

The San Francisco Giants will look to salvage something and avoid the sweep after their loss to the Dodgers on Saturday. Joc Pederson leads the Giants with 22 home runs and 63 RBIs while Wilmer Flores has 109 hits with 66 RBIs of his own, 26 doubles and a .229 batting average. Thairo Estrada has 115 hits with 20 doubles and 55 RBIs as well this season. Mike Yastrzemski also has 27 doubles of his own as well as a .206 batting average on the year. Alex Cobb will start here and is 6-6 with a 3.48 ERA and 133 strikeouts this season.

Los Angeles is 54-16 in their last 70 games overall and 40-11 in their last 51 division games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 division games. San Francisco is 5-2 in their last 7 home games and 5-23 in their last 28 division games while the under is 9-1-1 in their last 11 games overall.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m back on the Dodgers. The Giants at one point would rise up for these games against the Dodgers, but now it just seems like L.A. is in Dodger playoff mode as they’re taking no prisoners on the way to the postseason. Alex Cobb has been unlucky for much of this season, but his bad luck here is running into a hot Dodger team. Give me Los Angeles for the sweep.
