I’m on the Mariners in this one. I’ll admit that I think that the Mariners looked pretty good in the back end of that series against the Boston Red Sox and backing Seattle is the lesser of two evils in this matchup. The A’s picked up one win, but one win doesn’t change the struggles that the Athletics have had for much of the season and that also applies to Jack Perkins, who enters September with an ERA well over six. I think Seattle takes care of business in the opener so give me Seattle.
