Mariners vs Guardians Prediction 3/26/26 MLB Picks Today

The Cleveland Guardians and the Seattle Mariners meet Thursday in MLB action from T-Mobile Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Mariners vs. Guardians Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Cleveland Guardians will send out Tanner Bibee for the start here and Bibee was 12-11 with a 4.24 ERA and 162 strikeouts last season. The Seattle Mariners will trot out Logan Gilbert for the start here and Gilbert was 6-6 with a 3.44 ERA and 173 strikeouts last season.

Cleveland Guardians Recap

The Cleveland Guardians come into the 2026 season looking to build on a resilient 2025 campaign where they finished 81-81 and narrowly missed the postseason despite a late-season surge. Injuries to the rotation were a massive story in 2025, but the core centered around Jose Ramirez, Steven Kwan, and Josh Naylor gives the team plenty of optimism going forward as long as the support staff can provide enough run support. The Guardians said goodbye to Shane Bieber at the 2025 trade deadline when he was dealt to Toronto, but they reinforced the roster this winter by signing Rhys Hoskins and bringing back Austin Hedges for his veteran leadership. The continued absence of Emmanuel Clase on the restricted list hurts the back end of the bullpen, but the emergence of Cade Smith and the return of a healthy Gavin Williams gives the staff a high ceiling. Only time will tell if Cleveland can reclaim the AL Central once again in 2026.

Seattle Mariners Recap

The Seattle Mariners come into the 2026 season looking to finally crest the mountain after a bittersweet 2025 campaign where they finished 90-72 and clinched their first AL West title since 2001. Despite the historic regular season and a thrilling five-game ALDS win over the Tigers, the Mariners’ hearts were broken in the ALCS, blowing 2-0 and 3-2 series leads to the Blue Jays and losing Game 7 at home. The core of Julio Rodriguez, Cal Raleigh, and a rotation led by Logan Gilbert and Bryan Woo remains one of the best in the league, but health is already a major concern as JP Crawford and Bryce Miller are both slated to miss the start of the season with shoulder and oblique issues, respectively. The Mariners have all the pieces to take the next step in their growth, but can they do it? That is another question.

Mariners vs Guardians Prediction

I’m on the Mariners here. I just like what the Mariners have going for them in this game, and Tanner Bibee did not look good at all in the spring. I’m high on this Seattle group this season and Gilbert was a far more attractive option when he was pitching at home last season and I look for that to hold true here. Give me Seattle.
