ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’m going to stay with the Mets. Much of that is due to Wainwright’s recent struggles. Over his last three games alone, Wainwright is 0-3 with 19 earned runs in 10.0 innings on 25 hits and five walks. Quintana is 0-2 in his last trio, but he’s pitched better with six earned in 18.2 total frames. It’ll take some help from the bats to get Quintana a win here. In their Wednesday matchup, New York had a big offensive game with seven different players getting at least one hit. I like the Mets to keep it going in this opener.
