Tampa Bay Rays vs Seattle Mariners Prediction 6-26-24 Picks

The Seattle Mariners and the Tampa Bay Rays meet Wednesday in MLB action from Tropicana Field. Here’s a Tampa Bay Rays vs Seattle Mariners prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Seattle Mariners Betting Preview

The Mariners took on the Miami Marlins in their last series. Seattle won 9-0 in the Saturday matchup but lost the other pair 3-2 and 6-4 to drop the set. After a 4-3 loss to the Rays on Monday, in game two the Mariners were out-hit 11-6 in an 11-3 blowout defeat. Luis Castillo posted 5.1 innings with four earned on five hits and four walks in the start.

In the starter slot for the Wednesday game the Mariners will send out George Kirby. This year Kirby is 6-5 with a 3.47 ERA in 16 starts. Over 72 career starts Kirby is 27-20 with a 3.39 ERA.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

Over on the Rays’ side, this past weekend they played the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tampa Bay lost 4-3 in game two but otherwise took the series with wins 10-3 and 3-1. In Tuesday’s matchup the Rays scored a whopping nine runs across the final three innings. Zack Little went 5.0 innings as starter with two earned runs.

It’ll be Ryan Pepiot as starter for the Rays on Wednesday. Over his 13 starts this season Pepiot is 4-4 with a 4.61 ERA. He has 75 Ks in 66.1 innings. Pepiot is 9-5 with a 3.61 ERA in 30 career games (23 starts).

Tampa Bay Rays vs Seattle Mariners Prediction

I’ll try the Mariners in this one. Kirby has been doing pretty well on the mound lately. Over his last three starts he’s got three earned on 13 hits and two walks combined over 20.0 innings. As for Pepiot, he’s got 11 earned over 14.0 innings in his last three outings.

On Tuesday the Mariners had a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning, then the wheels fell off. Seattle’s pitching was pretty bad, but the offense didn’t deliver a whole lot either—outside of two homers, that is. Seattle needs a complete readjustment for Wednesday.
