Texas Rangers vs Los Angeles Angels MLB Picks, Odds, Predictions 9/29/2021

The Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers meet in an AL West meet in MLB action from Globe Life Field on Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Angels will look to bounce back from a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Rangers on Tuesday. Shohei Ohtani leads the Angels with 45 home runs, 98 RBIs and a .370 OBP while Jared Walsh has a .272 batting average and 32 doubles. David Fletcher leads the Angels with 160 hits as well on the year and Walsh has 27 home runs with 90 RBIs this season. Anson Junk will start here and is 0-1 with a 3.75 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season.

The Texas Rangers will look to build on their win over the Angels on Tuesday night. Isiah Kiner-Falefa leads the Rangers with a .273 batting average and 169 hits and 25 doubles along with 3 triples. Dolis Garcia has team-highs of 30 home runs, 88 RBIs and 26 doubles while Nate Lowe has a .354 OBP and 3 triples of his own this season. Taylor Hearn is tabbed with making the start here and is 6-5 with a 4.55 ERA and 90 strikeouts this season.

Los Angeles is 2-9 in their last 11 division games and 1-4 in their last 5 Wednesday games while the under is 9-4 in their last 13 road games against a left-handed starter. Texas is 5-16 in their last 21 Wednesday games and 22-46 in their last 68 games overall while the over is 2-0-2 in their last 4 division games.

The Angels are done, and it’s at the point where they’re just playing out the string and are in that awful state of purgatory, and you have to feel for a guy like Shohei Ohtani who had an all-time season and it was wasted on this Angels squad for all intents and purposes. Taylor Hearn goes for the Rangers and despite Texas’ shortcomings, he still puts the Rangers in a good position more often than not and I think the Rangers get a win over the Halos on Wednesday.
