In this article, we will formulate a Tigers vs Giants prediction for this MLB game on Monday, May 26th at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

The Detroit Tigers are 34-20 this year after they lost three out of four against the Guardians by scores of 0-7, 1-3, 5-7, and 5-0. In their game four win, Detroit scored five runs in the fourth inning, which was more than enough in the shutout win. The Tigers recorded eight hits in the game, and they were led by McKinstry, who went 1-3 with one home run and two RBIs in the win. Detroit started Skubal, who pitched all nine innings and only allowed two hits in the complete-game shutout.

Prior to that series, the Tigers won two out of three against the Cardinals and two out of three against the Blue Jays. Detroit has split its last six games, and they are currently first in the AL Central standings. The Detroit pitching staff has a 3.31 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and a .225 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 278 runs with a .253 batting average and a .326 on-base percentage this season. Spencer Torkelson has led Detroit with 13 home runs and 40 RBIs, while Riley Greene has added 12 home runs and 34 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Detroit is Keider Montero, who is 1-1 with a 5.28 ERA and a 1.57 WHIP over 30.2 innings pitched this year.

San Francisco Giants Betting Preview

The San Francisco Giants are 31-22 this season after they won two out of three against Washington by scores of 4-0, 0-3, and 3-2. In their game three win, San Francisco scored the first three runs in the game, but didn’t score in the final six innings and barely got the win. The Giants recorded five hits in the game, and they were led by Ramos, Adames, and Huff, who all had one RBI in the win. San Francisco started Ray, who allowed three hits and one earned run over 6.0 innings for the win, while Walker picked up the save.

Prior to that series, the Giants lost two out of three against the Royals, but did sweep the Athletics in three games before that. San Francisco has alternated wins and losses over their last seven games, and they are currently second in the NL West standings. The San Francisco pitching staff has a 3.25 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP, and a .234 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 237 runs with a .232 batting average and a .310 on-base percentage this season. Wilmer Flores has led San Francisco with 10 home runs and 43 RBIs, while Matt Chapman has added nine home runs and 25 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for San Francisco is Hayden Birdsong, who is 2-0 with a 1.91 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP over 28.1 innings pitched this season.

Tigers vs Giants Prediction

Detroit was able to avoid a four-game sweep against Cleveland with a win on Sunday, but their offense has really struggled over the last four games. The Tigers are 18-8 at home this season, while the Giants are 14-13 on the road. San Francisco has had trouble stringing wins together over the last week, and they are starting Birdsong, who allowed five hits and one unearned run in his last start against KC. Detroit is going with Montero, who has allowed eight earned runs and 13 hits in his last two starts (9.0 IP). I don’t really trust either starting pitcher in this matchup, but we don’t get the Tigers at this price at home very often. Take Detroit here.
