The Miami Marlins and the Toronto Blue Jays meet Saturday in MLB action from Rogers Centre. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Toronto Blue Jays vs Miami Marlins Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Miami Marlins did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted. Yariel Rodriguez will start for the Blue Jays and is 1-7 with a 4.41 ERA and 80 strikeouts this season. This will be Rodriguez’s first career start against the Marlins.

Miami Marlins Recap

The Miami Marlins come into this one looking to build on their series-opening 15-5 win over the Blue Jays on Friday. The win gave the Marlins a chance for back-to-back series wins to close out the year after taking out the Twins earlier in the week.

Jake Burger leads the Marlins with 29 home runs and 76 RBIs along with 132 hits while Jesus Sanchez has 18 home runs and 64 RBIs with 25 doubles. Xavier Edwards also has a team-high 31 stolen bases while Burger has the dubious distinction of leading the Marlins with 149 strikeouts this season.

Toronto Blue Jays Recap

The Toronto Blue Jays will be out to bounce back from their loss to kick off the series after getting picked apart by the Marlins on Friday. The loss put the Blue Jays at risk of extending their series losing streak, which includes losses to the Red Sox, Rays and Rangers over the last week and a half.

Blue Jays Stumbling To Close Out Season

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. leads the Blue Jays with 199 hits including 44 doubles, 30 home runs and 103 RBIs along with a .326 batting average and a .398 OBP. Daulton Varsho’s chipped in 18 home runs and 58 RBIs in addition to 21 doubles. Davis Schneider has 19 doubles while George Springer has a team-high 15 stolen bases. Toronto Blue Jays vs Miami Marlins Prediction

I’m on the over here. It would be nice to know who the Marlins are sending out here, but Miami’s clearly putting their best foot forward at the plate down the stretch as they just belted 15 runs against Toronto on Friday and I’m not a huge Yariel Rodriguez fan. On the other side, the Blue Jays should bounce back and still scored 5 runs in the losing effort. We likely don’t see 20 runs here, but I could see the over cashing.
