Germaine de Randamie and Anna Elmose fight Sunday at the Ahoy Rotterdam during UFC Fight Night 87.
Germaine de Randamie enters this fight with a 5-3 record and has won 60 percent of her fights by decision. De Randamie has won three of her last four fights and is coming off a 2015 win over Larissa Pacheco. De Randamie is averaging 3.06 significant strikes per minute with an accuracy percentage of 43.1 percent. De Randamie is averaging zero takedowns with an accuracy percentage of zero percent. De Randamie has shown more consistency since joining UFC in 2013, and she’s improved her wrestling in a short amount of time. De Randamie is still a striker at heart with an impressive takedown defense and is also defending more than 72 percent of strikes. The concern with De Randamie may be ring rust considering this is just her second fight since 2013. This will be De Randamie’s first fight in the Netherlands, her birthplace.

Anna Elmose enters this fight with a 3-0 record and has won 100 percent of her fights by knockout. This will be Elmose’s third fight since 2015, and she’s coming off a May win over Mara Romero Borella. Elmose will make her UFC debut with this fight and doesn’t have a whole lot of experience under her belt. Still, Elmose is a very skilled striker with above-average power and has knockout potential. Elmose has also shown willingness to get in the clinch and wrestle even if her striking game will be her bread and butter at this stage. The concern with Elmose is that she seems to be a little wild in the start of fights, which could create a cardio issue later in rounds. There’s also the fact Elmose has never fought somebody as talented or on a stage this big.
There’s just too many questions with Elmose with this being her first fight, even if she has the potential to turn some heads once she gets a little more experience. We know what we’re getting with De Randamie, and she’s become a far more balanced fighter as of late.
De Randamie should be able to win this fight against the UFC rookie.
