Brazilian MMA fighter, Rani Yahya will be fighting at UFC Fight Night 135 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He will be taking on American fighter, Luke Sanders in a battle in the bantamweight category. This is a fight on the preliminary card which means that both fighters will be desperate to win so they can feature on the main card in future events.
Rani Yahya enters this fight having won his last two contests via submission. The Brazilian is one of the best submission artists in the MMA and he has shown by winning 19 out of his 25 via this method. Rani Yahya is former ADCC Submission Wrestling World Champion and that means that he is one of the best when the fight is taken to the mat. With a record of 19 wins, 9 losses and 1 no contest, Yahya has a decent record but he will be determined to improve that so he can start competing for the big prizes in the MMA.

Luke Sanders will know the submission skills of his opponent. The American is fighting in only his 14th fight and this will be the first time he has come across a submission artist as skillful as Yahya. It will be very important for Sanders that he can maintain this fight to a standing position and near the center of the Octagon since that will ensure that he has a chance. This will be a very tough match for the American and he will need to be at his best if he has a chance of winning.
All in all, I am going to side with Rani Yahya winning this fight. The Brazilian is very skillful and it is unlikely that he will let this fight remain standing. Yahya is a master on the mat and with the cage and I think he has too many dimensions to allow Luke Sanders to have a chance.
