Evan Dunham will be fighting Francisco Trinaldo in the lightweight category at UFC Fight Night 137 in Brazil.
Francisco Trinaldo enters this fight with a professional MMA record of 22 wins and 6 losses. While this is a very good record, Trinaldo has had a tough few fights as he has lost 2 of the last 3 fights. Francisco Trinaldo’s last fight was in February where he lost to James Vick. While such form would usually impact a fighter, it should not have a massive impact on Francisco Trinaldo as he is hugely experienced and has come back strongly in the past. Francisco Trinaldo has an incredible UFC record while fighting in Brazil as he has won a large percentage of fights in his home country. With the home crowd behind Francisco Trinaldo, I am expecting the Brazilian to make a strong statement in this fight.

On the other hand, Evan Dunham will be desperate to win as this is expected he be his retirement bout. Dunham has been in the UFC for an age having made his debut for the franchise in 2009 and will look to end his career on a high. That being said, Dunham will need to come back after getting knocked out by Olivier Aubin-Mercier at UFC 223 in April. It is always hard for a fighter to recover after getting knocked out but with the knowledge that this is the last leap, Dunham might just find the courage to make a statement. It is going to be hard for Dunham to fight in his opponents home turf but considering the importance of this fight, the American might just have enough left in the tank.
While Trinaldo has all the tools to win this fight, I am going to side against him and pick Evan Dunham to win this fight. This is expected to be the last time that Dunham will enter the UFC octagon and I think that will be enough to motivate the American to show his best aspects. I am picking Evan Dunham to finish his career with a win.
