We make a trip to North Carolina for the Bank of America Roval 400 in the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series, the last race in the round of 12 playoffs.

Last week was an absolute bust with all five of our drivers finishing outside of the top-10, but the great thing about sports betting is there’s always tomorrow. Here are five drivers to consider throwing on Sunday’s card.

Chase Elliott, +275 – You’re not getting rich by backing Chase Elliott this week but it’s tough to put together a card and not include him. Elliott has won two of his last three trips at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, including this race last year, and is averaging a 2.8 finish here in his last five trips. Elliott has been the king of North Carolina these last three years and should like his chances at his third win of the season.

Joey Logano, +1600 – Joey Logano is due for a breakout performance after finishing outside of the top-10 in his last three races and the Charlotte Motor Speedway has been kind to him over his career. Logano won this race in 2015 and was the runner-up in last years Coca-Cola 600. Logano has top-10 finishes in four of his last five trips here overall. Logano is a sneaky dark horse this weekend.

Kevin Harvick, +600 – It’s hard not to blindly include Kevin Harvick on your betting cards when he’s won five of the last 11 races. Don’t expect this hot stretch to cool off this week, as Harvick has three wins at the Charlotte Motor Speedway overall and has top-five finishes in seven of his last 14 trips. In his last three races at the Bank of America Roval 400, Harvick is averaging a finish of fifth place. There’s nothing left to be said when it comes to the 44-year-old.

Martin Truex Jr., +600 – I’ve included Martin Truex Jr. a lot on these cards this season and he continues to come up just short. I’ll try once again. Truex had top-10 finishes in the first two trips at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this season and won this particular race back in 2017. Truex has finished sixth or better in eight of his last 12 trips at this track and three of those finishes were victories. This could be the week Truex wins his first race since early June.

Jimmie Johnson, +2000 – I’ve been trying to make some money on Jimmie Johnson this season simply because it’s his last year and it would be nice to see him in victory lane one more time. Johnson hasn’t been great over these last two months and he’s running out of time to get one more win. With that said, Johnson has won the Bank of America Roval 400 four times, more than any other driver, and he’s finished in the top-10 in seven of his last 10 trips at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. If there was a race where Johnson could go out on top, it would probably be this one.
