The Orlando Magic head to Minnesota on Wednesday, still looking for their first win of the season after falling to Indiana on Tuesday night.
The Minnesota Timberwolves didn’t have an impressive record last season, but injuries really plagued this team and held them back, as I believe this unit is better than they showed us last season. The Timberwolves will be missing their big man Pekovic on Wednesday night against the Magic. The Timberwolves looked solid in the preseason, going 4-3, while winning a few games on the road. Take what you want from the preseason of course, but I do look for the Timberwolves to be improved this season, as long as they stay healthy that is.

The Orlando Magic drew a tough draw on their opening night, having to head to Indiana against the Pacers, and now the Magic head north again, this time to face the Timberwolves. The Magic were defeated 97-87 by the Pacers on the night, but the Magic were in the game early, actually leading 44-40 at the break. Leading the way for Orlando was Harkless, who finished the night with 14 points and one board. Also, contributing off the bench for Orlando was Oladipo, who finished with 12 points and three boards. The Magic should be improved this season, they won’t contend, but look for the Magic to be a tough out if this young roster gets hot.
The Magic are just 2-4 against the spread in their last six games, and the Magic are 0-5 overall in their last five road games. The Timberwolves are 2-3-1 ATS in their last six home games, and the T-Wolves are 1-5 against the number in their last six games at home against the Magic.
I like what the Magic showed me last night, especially in the first half. This is just a tough spot for them however. The Timberwolves will be amped up for their home opener, and hope to make some noise this season. The Magic will hang around here, especially early on, but in the end look for the Timberwolves to pull away, slightly covering this large number.
