The Cleveland Cavaliers head to Charlotte on Friday to face the Bobcats.
The Charlotte Bobcats are off to a 0-1 start this season as the Bobcats fell to the Houston Rockets, 96-83 in their opener. The Bobcats had no answer for Howard, who finished the night with an incredible 26 boards and 17 points against the Bobcats. Harden was also terrific, finishing the night with 21. The Bobcats had four different players reach double digits on the night, with Sessions leading the way off the bench with 14. This will be a welcome home stop on Friday, before heading down to New Orleans on Saturday to face the Pelicans.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are 1-0 to start their season, after earning a solid victory against the Nets in Cleveland on Wednesday. The Cavs did an excellent job of distributing the ball against the Nets, having six different players reach double digit points on the night. Kyrie Irving led the scoring for the Cavs, finishing the game with 15 points against the Nets. Lopez, the big man in the middle for the Nets had some success; finishing with 21 points on the night, but all in all the Cavs did a nice job of keeping the Nets new look offense in check. I know it’s early, but you have to beware of a potential trap game here with the Cavs making this stop in Charlotte, before heading to Indiana on Saturday to face the Pacers.
The Cavs are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games. The total has gone under in four of the last five games for the Cavs. The Cavs have done well against Charlotte lately, winning six of their last seven against the Bobcats. The Bobcats are 5-1 overall in their last six home games, and the Bobcats are just 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against the Cavs.
I’m going to lay the points with the Cavs in this spot. The Bobcats play well at home, but this Cleveland team has their number. The Cavs also have more playmakers on the offensive side of the court. I look for Charlotte to keep this one close, and this will be a very small play for me, but choosing a side, I’ll give the points with Cleveland.
