The San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers collide at the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 10 of their last 12 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting embarrassed by the Trail Blazers in a 147-127 road loss on Monday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 20 points, Jeremy Sochan added 18 points while Jakob Poeltl chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and 13 of 27 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Trail Blazers in a high-scoring first half, only to get blown away by 45-27 in the third quarter to suffer another heavy defeat.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent form as they’ve won three of their past five games, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after getting routed by the Clippers in a 133-115 loss last night. LeBron James led the team with 46 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Russell Westbrook added 17 points off the bench while Thomas Bryant scored 15 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Lakers shot 44 percent from the field and 16 of 40 from the 3-point line, but they allowed the Clippers off to a flyer and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing 77 points in the first half. Patrick Beverley had a night to forget as he finished with just three points on one of eight shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games playing on one days rest, 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a losing record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 9-3-1 in the last 13 meetings in Los Angeles and the Spurs are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. The Spurs are keeping an eye on Romeo Langford who is listed as day to day, while the Lakers will again be missing Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker, but the good news is that Anthony Davis could make his return to the court for this one which would be a massive boost for the Lakers. With that being said, the Spurs are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and I think that trend continues as the Lakers get the much-needed win and cover to atone for last night’s poor performance against the Clippers.
