The Utah Jazz returns home to face James Harden and the Houston Rockets on Saturday from EnergySolutions Arena.
The Jazz are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. loss and 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall, but just 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Rockets on the other hand are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record.

The Utah Jazz remains winless on the young season as they fell to the Phoenix Suns 87-84 on Friday night from Arizona. After dropping their season opener in a closely fought battle against Kevin Durant and the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder, the Jazz found themselves once again locked in a tight one against the Suns as Gordon Hayward drained a three with 22 second left to even the game at 84 apiece. However, Phoenix would have the last laugh as Eric Bledsoe replied with a three of his own to give the home team the victory.
At the other side of the spectrum, the Houston Rockers improved to 2-0 after running away from the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night 113-105. James Harden did most of the damage against the visiting Mavs, scoring a game-high 34 points while the newly acquired Dwight Howard made his presence felt down low with 13 points and 16 rebounds for a Houston squad with big expectations coming into the season.
Do you remember what the result was the last time the Rockets played in Utah? Let me give you a little rundown: Houston rolled into Salt Lake City and exited with a lazy 45 point win. That’s right, 45 points!! In fact, the Rockets won all three meetings against the Jazz last season, all by over tonight’s point spread of six. Given Utah got worse in the offseason and the Rockets improved dramatically, this pick seems like a no-brainer to me…
