The Miami Heat go for their first road win of the season when they battle with the Toronto Raptors tonight.
The Heat have endured a rocky start to the season, but were able to avoid a third straight loss on Sunday, beating the winless Wizards by 103-93. LeBron James led the way with 25 points, Chris Bosh added 24 and Dwyane Wade finished with 20 points as the Heat coasted to an easy win, leading by as many as 23 points before taking their foot off the pedal in the fourth. The key to their win was their willingness to make that extra pass on every play which was evident in the box score as the Heat finished with 32 assists on their 37 field goals.

Meanwhile, the Raptors have enjoyed a decent start to their season after beating the Bucks by 97-90 to improve to 2-1 overall. Rudy Gay led the way on Saturday, posting a game-high 18 points on just four of 14 shooting, including 15 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan added 17 points and Kyle Lowry had 14 points. As a team, the Raptors need to find easier ways to score some easy baskets as they shot just 39.7 percent from the field, but their defense was just fine as they outrebounded the Bucks by 60-38 which is not surprising as they are ranked first in the league at this early stage of the season.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games following a win, while the Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the Heat won all three meetings against the Raptors by a combined 39 points. In terms of ATS trends, the Heat are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Toronto.
The Heat were looking seriously rusty after those two consecutive losses, but looked like a well-oiled machine in their latest win which doesn't bode well for the Raptors who they've dominated. I'm surprised Toronto is only getting 5.5 points in this game so I'm definitely taking the visitors in this one. I predict the Heat to win by double digits on the road tonight.
