The Dallas Mavericks, like the Timberwolves are playing good ball this season, as the Mavs also have a winning record on the year at 3-2. The Mavericks offense is one of the best in the league this year, scoring an average of 110 points per game, with Ellis leading the team, averaging 24 per outing. Against teams allowing 99+ on the season, the Mavs are 1-0 against the spread, but when playing against teams with a winning record, Dallas is 0-2 against the number.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are also 3-2 against the spread this season, and as a favorite, the T-Wolves are 1-1 against the number. At home this season the Timberwolves are 1-2 ATS, and when playing against teams with a winning record, Minnesota is 1-1 ATS this season.
This game is going to be a small play for me, as there isn’t a ton of value on either side. I’m on the Timberwolves in this spot as I like getting the better defense at home. The Mavs haven’t played all that well on the road this season, and having back to back road games will be tough on them.
Like I said, small play for me as there isn’t a ton of value at the current number, but I’ll be on the Timberwolves tonight.
