The Brooklyn Nets head to Washington on Friday to square off against the Nets.
The Washington Wizards are again starting to work their way to the bottom of the league, as the Wizards are just 1-3 this season. Washington is playing pretty well offensively, scoring an average of 103.3 points per game, but on the defensive end o the court they are really struggling, ranking 27th in the league, allowing 106.8 per outing. The Wizards are coming off a solid win on the road against the Sixers on Wednesday however, and hopefully for Washington, they can use some of this momentum to springboard them to more wins.

The Brooklyn Nets are playing well this season, however I’m sure this team wants to be above .500 this season, which is right where they are currently at 2-2. The Nets are about as middle of the road as their record suggests as Brooklyn is scoring an average of 96.3 points per game this season, while allowing 98.3 on average. The Nets do move the ball around well, ranking 12th in the league in assists, but Brooklyn is struggling on the boards this season, which needs to improve. Brooklyn has been off since Tuesday so they should be well rested heading into their matchup with the Wizards on Friday.
The total has gone over the number in six of the last eight games for the Nets, but under in four of the last six for Brooklyn on the road. The Nets also, are just 1-5 overall in their last six road games, and just 2-4 ATS in their last six games on the road.
The Wizards are 3-7 ATS in their last ten games and the total has gone over in five of the last six for the Wizards. Washington is just 1-9 overall in their last ten games however, and the Wizards are just 1-4 overall in their last five games against the Nets.
I like the Wizards in this spot. Washington isn’t lighting the court up, but the Wizards aren’t as bad as their record suggests. Washington is coming off a win against a solid Sixers team, on the road nonetheless. The Nets have played well this year, but on the road Brooklyn has struggled, losing at Orlando and at Cleveland to open their season.
I have the Nets at about a three point favorite on a neutral court. I know the Wizards don’t have a great home court advantage, but getting points here, on a Friday with a team that is coming off a solid win looks to be a good place to be in this one.
