The Utah Jazz are still looking for their first win this season, and it will be tough to get that on Monday as the Jazz host the Denver Nuggets.
The Denver Nuggets head to Utah on Monday, in hopes that they are not the first to fall victim to the Jazz this season.

The Utah Jazz just can’t seem to get into the win column this season as the Jazz are sitting at 0-7 on the year. The last game for the Jazz was on Saturday, and on Saturday the Jazz fell to the Raptors in Toronto, 115-91. Utah has one of the worst defensive units in the game currently, allowing more than 100 points per outing on average. One of the only things worse is their offense, which ranks 30th in the league as of now, with an average of just 87.7 points scored per game. The one thing the Jazz do have going for them is their rebounding ability. Utah is solid on the boards, grabbing 43.1 rebounds per game this season. The Jazz are obviously not a good team, but they are better than they have been playing so far this season.
The Denver Nuggets are right in the same boat as the Jazz, as the Nuggets have underperformed this season, en route to a record of 1-4 on the year. The Nuggets are coming off a 114-103 loss to the Suns on Friday in Phoenix. Hopefully for Denver, the long rest will help them bounce back here on the road Monday. The Nuggets are currently ranked 17th in the league offensively, scoring an average of 98.4 points per game, while ranking 26th defensively, giving up 105.2. Like the Jazz, this Nuggets team is better than this, and I do expect them to bounce back and play better eventually.
The Nuggets have the same ATS record as overall record this season, as the Nuggets are just 1-4 against the spread on the year. As a favorite, the Nuggets are 0-2 against the spread, and on the road, Denver is 1-1 against the number. Against teams allowing more than 99 points per game this season, the Nuggets are 0-1 against the spread.
The Utah Jazz is 1-5 against the spread this season, and as an underdog, the Jazz are also 1-5 against the number. When playing at home, the Jazz are 1-1 against the spread on the year. When plashing teams with a losing record, Utah is 0-4 ATS on the season.
I’m taking the Jazz in this spot. This is a small play for me as I just can’t trust this Jazz team this season, but this looks like an ideal spot for the Jazz to get a cover, and probably their first win of the season. Utah has the advantage on the boards, and defensively look for the Jazz to get their first win of the season on Monday.
