The Milwaukee Bucks will have their hands full on Tuesday when the Bucks head to Miami to face the Heat.
The Miami Heat are just 4-3 this season, and while it is far from time to panic, the Heat are not used to being this close to the .500 mark. Miami had previously won three in a row to get themselves back into the black, but the Heat suffered a loss at the hands of the Celtics on Saturday, falling 111-110 at home to Boston. The Heat have had plenty of time to let that loss sink in, and for a team that normally plays so well on their home court, look for Miami to come out firing tonight against the Bucks. The Heat still have the fifth ranked offense in the league, scoring more than 105 points per game, but this team has built their dynasty around their strong defense, and it has not been there this season as opponents are average triple digits against Miami on the year.

The Milwaukee Bucks are sitting at 2-3 on the year. The Bucks have alternated wins and losses all season long, with their most recent one being a loss to the Mavs on Saturday, 91-83 in Milwaukee. The Bucks are solid team, but Milwaukee is not the kind of squad that can fall too far back in the conference too early, as I just don’t see this team having the horses to put together a long streak in the stretch run. Milwaukee is solid however, don’t get me wrong as the Bucks are sixth in the league defensively, just their offense has been poor this year, averaging just 94 points per game.
So far this season, the Bucks are 3-2 against the spread, and on the road, the Bucks are 2-0 against the number. When playing with two or more days rest this year, the Bucks are 0-1 against the spread. Also, when playing against teams averaging 99+ points per game, the Bucks are 0-1 against the number.
The Miami Heat are just 2-5 against the spread this season, and at home, Miami is just 1-3 against the number. Coming off games where they have scored 105 points or more, the Heat are just 0-1 against the spread.
This is just a ton of points, but I have to back the Heat in this spot. LeBron James is listed as probable, and I expect him top play without limiations here.
Miami has to be upset after falling to lowly Boston in Miami by a buzzer beater this weekend. The Heat will come out and try to redeem themselves on Tuesday. Milwaukee is good enough to keep it close for awhile, but look for Miami to pull away in the fourth quarter, getting the easy win at home.
