With just two games on the schedule, it was a pretty quiet evening in the NBA. Things will be picking back up again tonight, however, which will kick off a big weekend of action on the court. While we’re waiting for tip-off, let’s take a look at some of the noteworthy names out there and see what everyone’s up to. Here’s the latest.

James Harden, SG, Houston Rockets: Even though he was a game-time decision, Harden fought through his foot injury to post a team-high 36 points against the Knicks. He also managed nine rebounds in 42 minutes of action during the back-and-forth 109-106 win, doing most of his damage from the free-throw line (16-of-18).
Of note on the other side was the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, who posted a game-high 45 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. He was aided by Andrea Bargnani, who was surprisingly effective defensively against Dwight Howard and added 24 points in an increasingly comfortable-looking role.
Back to the Rockets, we may see a roster shake-up from Houston very soon. Center Omer Asik got no playing time at all (coach’s decision), displaced by how ineffective he and Howard have been together so far this year. He’s been extremely underused and has requested a trade. No word yet on how eager the Rockets are to make that happen, but there’s sure to be interest out there.

Klay Thompson, SG, Golden State Warriors: In his three games previous to last night, Thompson had scored just 37 points combined. He bucked that trend against the Thunder, however, racking up 27 in the 116-115 victory. Thompson added five rebounds, two assists and three blocks to his line. The Warriors used a big third quarter to get this win, outscoring the Thunder 33-24 to pull away.
Looking ahead to Golden State’s upcoming schedule, they’ll be playing a home-and-home against the Jazz over the next few days. It’ll start tomorrow night at home and conclude on Monday in Utah.
