The Boston Celtics will be looking to avoid a third straight loss tonight when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After reeling off three straight wins, the Celtics have hit the wall with consecutive losses to the Bobcats and the Blazers. Last night, Jared Sullinger impressed with 26 points off the bench, but other than 14 points from Jeff Green and 11 points from Jordan Crawford, no other player finished in double figures. The Blazers just held the advantage in the post where they went to LaMarcus Aldridge early and often and he finished with a game-high 27 points on 11 of 18 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Wolves had won three of four before falling to the Nuggets by 117-113 last night. Kevin Love had a quiet game but still managed to rack up 28 points and 10 rebounds, Kevin Martin added 27 points and JJ Barea had 21 points off the bench. One problem was on the defensive end where the Wolves played next to no help defense and no rim protection and another problem was in the bench scoring where the Wolves were outscored by 66-33. With the loss, Minnesota fell to 6-4 on the season and 2-3 on the road.

In ATS trends, the Celtics are 5-1 ATS int heir last six road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Wolves are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a loss.

Head to head, the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Minnesota.

Other than a buzzer-beating win over the Heat, the Celtics have really been disappointing this season and it doesn't look like the future will be any brighter as they play their next five games against teams above .500. I love the Wolves to win here by double digits despite playing just last night.
